Man Murders His Father, Burns And Buries Corpse
A 33-year-old man, Ahmadu Saidu, of Rakama village, in Ningi Local
Government Area of Bauchi State, has been arrested by policemen from
Ningi division of the state police command for conspiring with another
man to kill his biological father.
Saidu and his accomplice, 30-year-old Umar Sanda Ali, according to a
statement, issued and made available to journalists in Bauchi by the
state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Haruna Mohammed, they
did not only stop at killing the 60-year-old Sa'idu Lawwali, but also
burnt and buried him in a shallow grave at a nearby bush.
The statement informed that both suspects had been arrested by the police.
In another development, police detectives attached to Dass division of
the state police command, in collaboration of a vigilance group, Danga
vigilantes, last week, arrested one Yusuf Abdulkadir and six others at
Dajin village in Bafawa Balewa Local Government Area of the state.
According to the PPRO, the seven arrested suspects conspired and
killed a cattle rearer, one Mohammed Jamo of Pankshin Local Government
Area of Plateau State and took away 32 cows from him.
"On December 10, at about 2.20 p.m, police detectives attached to Dass
division, in collaboration with Danga vigilantes arrested one Yusuf
Abdulkadir, male, 46 years and six others after a fierce exchange of
gunshots at Dajin village, in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of
Bauchi State," Mohammed said.
The police spokesman further informed that exhibits recovered from the
suspects included one AK 47 rifle with number 1087; one assault rifle
with number 2012147; 202 live ammunition of 7.56 mm; 32 cows and a
machete.
All cases, the PPRO, said were still under investigation, after which
suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
