"We are not Cultists"- ABSU Students
Students of Abia State University, Uturu (ABSU) Tuesday embarked on a campaign against cultism.
The dogged ABSU students who went into Uturu and Okigwe communities were led by the Dean, student's Affair, Prof F E Eboh and President, Students Union Government, Alugo Victor.
With placards which reads " Shun Cultism, killers will be Killed someday' ' We are not Cultists' 'Shun Cultism embrace Christ" among others. The students enlightened the people.
In a fun filled parade, the students danced and sang as they assured the people of the communities that ABSU is a safe haven for education.
Addressing students, the SUG president said ABSU students are known for excellence and service.
"We are not cultists, we are good people. 
We He added that it's became necessary to campaign against cultism in and outside the school to show to the world that ABSU has zero tolerance for cultism and to dissuade those who still engage in it.
It would be recalled that two students were gruesomely beheaded by suspected cultists in February in an off campus facility.
The vice chancellor, Prof Eleasar Ikonne, has since beefed up security in and around the school to tackle and forestall such occurrenceare know for excellence and service."
